The Bears gave us one in ‘85. Same with the Sox 20 years later. The Bulls did it a half-dozen times in the ‘90s. And now the Blackhawks have given Chicago their third championship in the last six years. And yet, it never gets old. Our sports teams and their winning ways bring together a city divided by race, class, and neighborhood boundaries in ways no other person or entity could. Once again the people of our town will embrace their heroes and each other as the ‘Hawks make their way through the loop in celebration of their Stanley Cup victory.
