As the world is in the midst of the worst refugee crisis since World War II, the U.S. cut the number of refugees it resettles. Many independent agencies, paid by the U.S. government to do the facilitate resettlement, are adjusting to a new reality. The U.S. ceiling for refugees was around 80,000 for the last decade. Today, it’s stands at 45,000. The U.S. is not on track to meet even the new numbers.
