French songstress Julie Meckler’s lilting voice lives on top of music that feels at time native to her homeland, and at others to her adopted city of Chicago. Soon enough, you’ll be able to get your hands on a copy of musician Meckler’s debut release, Queenshead. It’s been a while in the making, but certainly worth the wait. The band performs a record release show this Thursday at the Hideout in Chicago, and drops by the Morning Shift to give a preview performance of some of the songs from Queenshead.
