Dublin, Ireland’s Druid Theatre Company has revived Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot. The classic work centers on the deep interplay between two friends as they wait for someone, who may never show, while being stuck on a road to nowhere. The Irish Times calls this latest iteration of Waiting for Godot, “the … most affecting production of the play in at least a quarter of a century.” Doreen Sayegh, manager of international and special projects at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, joins us.

Waiting for Godot at Chicago Shakespeare Theater runs through June 3, 2018.
