In some parts of Chicago, you’ll find a craft brewery on every block. But unless you head to Beverly on Chicago’s South Side, you won’t find a single meadery. That’s because Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery is the city’s only meadery. Worldview is broadcasting live from the meadery, which produces not only mead, but also wine and beer. Honey being a key ingredient in mead, Wild Blossom raises its own bees. It also sources other ingredients locally. Joining us to discuss what mead is, how it’s made and why you might want to jump on the mead bandwagon is Greg Fischer, owner of Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery. He speaks with guest host Steve Bynum, in for Jerome McDonnell, and Worldview’s food, health and culture contributor Monica Eng.
