In a speech from the Senate floor that many reports and analysts called “extraordinary “ and “unprecedented,” California Senator Dianne Feinstein directly accused CIA personnel of interfering with Senate oversight and blocking probes into the CIA’s interrogation method. Feinstein also accused the CIA of hacking into Senate computers. CIA Director John Brennan, denies the hacking charge, but he would not elaborate on Feinstein’s other accusations, citing “ongoing investigations.” We’ll talk about the controversy with Mike German, a fellow with the Brennan Center for Justice’s Liberty and National Security Program. The program’s stated goal is to “ensure that our government respects human rights and fundamental freedoms in conducting the fight against terrorism.” (Photo: AP/Senate Television)
