Protesters in Chilpancingo, the capital of Guerrero state, clashed with police this week. The protesters were organizing a concert in support of the 43 students who went missing more than two months ago. Frustrations among the families of the missing students remain high and many accuse the government of impunity. Ernesto Schwartz Marin felt it was time that Mexican citizens get some justice. He is the co-founder of Citizen-Led Forensics, an independent web registry that lets Mexican citizens report the disappearances of people without the involvement of police. Citizens can also help gather evidence, including DNA evidence, that is analysed outside of Mexico. Ernesto Schwartz-Marin joins us to discuss the project.
