There are a couple of big stories in the food world. The federal government says it has a new goal: Cutting how much food Americans waste by 50 percent by the year 2030. Also, thousands of Chicago food cart vendors who sell things like tamales, fruit cups and corn are one step closer to being able to operate their businesses legally.
