City Of Chicago Failed To Address ‘Fire Traps’ Where Dozens Died

A new investigation from the Chicago Tribune and Better Government Association reveals that 61 Chicagoans died in buildings that city officials had previously identified as fire hazards. Some buildings had blocked exits or no fire alarms. Others were slated to be demolished by the city.
