The MacArthur Foundation announced grants for 12 Chicago arts and culture organizations for artistic exchanges with groups in 11 other countries. One of the Chicago grant recipients is classical music ensemble Eighth Blackbird, a Grammy-winning sextet that will work with a group in Hungary. Peter McDowell is the managing director of Eighth Blackbird and talks about what this grant means for the ensemble.
