When an American says to an immigrant or international professional, “I’ll get back to you,” they actually think they mean it. Foreigners are oft times perplexed and disappointed by American shorthand in speech and small talk. “American Culture Coach”, Regina Rodríguez-Martin’s isolation and disappointment from growing up as a non-Spanish speaking Latina would inspire her to start the company Welcome Dialogue, LLC.

Rodríguez-Martin specializes in coaching white-collar, international professionals on skills such as American English pronunciation, networking, making small talk and getting their coworkers to like them. She’ll even tell us about giving immigrants dating tips.
