During his first run for Congress in 2010, Congressman Adam Kinzinger of the 16th District enjoyed the support of the conservative Tea Party, but recently he’s pushed back on some of his Tea Party colleagues, such as Congressman Ted Cruz. Kinzinger has said that politicians like Cruz can incite divisions in the party. Kinzinger will face more conservative ideals when he’s up for re-election next year.
