Thousands of Chicago Public Schools teachers and staff were expected to return to the classroom Monday, but many worked remotely instead.

The majority of Chicago Teachers Union members approved a resolution Sunday. It calls for a collective refusal to return to classrooms due to COVID-19 safety concerns.
