If you’ve taken public transportation, you’ve most likely been inconvenienced by the lack of courtesy from your fellow riders. Taking up more than one seat, playing your iPhone like a boom box- or even just bringing an actual boom box-these things all can happen on the train or bus. The CTA is following the lead of the MTA in New York with a new courtesy campaign, aimed to remind riders how to respect the space, time and quiet of their fellow passengers. We get more details on the campaign and hear how some New York commuters feel the campaign there has worked to create a more polite transit system. And, of course we take your calls about the biggest CTA pet peeves and some of the grossest or most surprising things you’ve seen. (Flickr/cta web)
