Ridership declines, safety issues, delays: Lately, the second-largest public transit system in the United States has been a source of frustration for those who use it.

The Chicago Transit Authority has said they’re rolling out an improvement plan that includes addressing wait times, increased security and upgraded bus tracking tools. But we want to hear from you: What has your experience on buses and trains been lately? What would you fix first? And what questions do you have for the people in charge?

We want to hear from Chicagoans about all things public transit, whether you ride the bus every day to work or take the train only occasionally. Your comments will be used to guide our reporting and help determine which questions we put to agency officials. With your permission, your experiences could also appear in future stories on the issue.
