Fantasy sports have evolved in recent years. Not long ago, you and your buddies held a mock draft before the season started. Each week for 18 weeks you’d check to see if the players you picked had a better day than the other guys. Now, that’s old school. Now, there’s daily fantasy sports. It compresses all of that into just a few hours…and it’s become a big business. The two big players in this space — Draft Kings and Fan Duel — both took in hundreds of millions of dollars in investment this summer from the major TV networks and professional sports leagues who think daily fantasy sports will keep sports nuts glued to their TVs and devices.
