Tensions remain high in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine to postpone a referendum vote on secession. The vote was scheduled to take place this weekend. Putin also said Russian troops had pulled back along the border. But the political crisis is also having an impact on daily life. Many Ukrainians in eastern Ukraine have found it increasingly difficult to find basic goods, leave their homes and receive basic services. Karyn Gershon, the executive director of Project Kesher, has been in touch with many women in both Ukraine and Russia. She’ll tell us how the political crisis is affecting daily life.
