The Chicago Stand-Up Project has locked down a local Emmy nomination; the show, which is produced by WTTW and Zanies and created by Pat McGann, takes Chicagoans that you know and love and makes them try to be funny. The Chicago Emmy Awards will be presented on November 18 at the Alhambra Palace.

- It’s that time of year again: drop by the Goodman and pick up some of their costume shop goods for your Halloween Costume from this past year’s season. The sale is Saturday October 20 from 9 am to 2 pm.

-The Equity Jeff Awards were last night, where, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Goodman’s The Iceman Cometh and CST’s Follies both knocked it out of the park; the former snagged six awards, including Best Production-Play, while the latter won Best Musical. Other productions that got highlighted: The Pitmen Painters by Timeline and The Doyle & Debbie Show which was at the Royal George. And actors like Larry Yando and Diane D’Aquila won top prizes for principal role performances, Yando for his role in Court Theatre’s Angels in America and D’Aquila’s role in CST’s Elizabeth Rex. The next Jeff Awards are the Non-Equity ones, and that’ll be June 3, 2013.
