2. Steppenwolf is hosting a staged reading of Will the Circle Be Unbroken: Death, Rebirth, and Hunger for a Faith on May 21 with the Studs Terkel Centenary Committee to celebrate Terkel’s 100th birthday. It’s free, but get a ticket starting May 1 by waiting in line or calling 312-335-1650. Steppenwolf ensemble members Ian Barford, Robert Breuler, Ora Jones, Martha Lavey, Alan Wilder, Anthony Fleming III, Justin Hayford, Rick Kogan, L. J. Slavin, Mary Ann Thebus, Guy Van Swearingen, Andrew White and Dennis Zacek. Vocalists TBA.

3. Shattered Globe redesigned their website.

4. National Dance week ends Sunday, but you can squeak in a viewing of InASdE Chicago Dance debuting three world premieres in their Inaside Chicago Dance Project at the Athenaeum on Saturday night.

5. Oh man here’s a portion of Hedy Weiss’ 1990 review of the last time Bob Falls directed The Iceman Cometh at the Goodman, when Brian Dennehy was in a slightly different (ie lesser) role.
