Every month, we like to check-in with our favorite local journalists and bloggers for a segment called, “Shop Talk.” We get their perspectives on the stories of the day. Then, they tell us about developments in local news that they liked, and ones they disliked. Lastly, they tell us those moments that made them go WTF!?! Here’s just one of the stories we disliked — A Black female TV Meteorologist in Louisiana was criticized by a viewer on the TV station’s Facebook page for wearing her hair in a short afro. She responded to the viewer and ultimately lost her job for not following what the station called an “unwritten” code of conduct.
