Declining Enrollment Pushes CPS To Lay Off More Teachers, Staff

Chicago Public Schools is laying off 140 teachers and 100 support staff. District officials said the layoffs are driven by enrollment declines. Chicago Public Schools is down several thousand students compared to last year, according to preliminary numbers.
