Developing countries struggling to gain access to HIV/AIDS medications, rules within the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and EpiPen prices rising by 500 percent are just a few of the issues that make global access to medicine a growing crisis.

We talk with two experts: Attorney Anand Grover is a senior advocate on the Supreme Court of India and a former United Nations special rapporteur on the Right to Health. Brian Citro is a clinical lecturer in law and the associate director of the International Human Rights Clinic at the University of Chicago Law School. Citro testified and contributed to a U.N. panel on access to medicines.

They discuss what they call “groundbreaking litigation” in India and advocacy at the U.N. that may change things for the better.
