Forty-three students who were kidnapped earlier this year are now presumed to be dead. The students were arrested by police in September and then disappeared. It’s now believed they were turned over to a drug cartel and murdered. The local mayor has been charged with their deaths. Some protests over how the case has been handled have turned violent. We’ll talk about the fallout with Laura Carlsen, director of the Americas Program for the Center for International Policy. She’s been on the scene in Guerrero State documenting and reporting on the crime.
