It’s been about two months now since parking meter rates started going up around Chicago, but frustration over the city’s deal to lease the management of the meters doesn’t seem to be dying down. Last week the Chicago Reader took a more cerebral approach. Using public documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests writers Ben Joravsky and Mick Dumke put together a timeline of just how the city’s deal went down. Dumke explains what he learned.
