When Martin McDonough’s play The Beauty Queen of Leenane debuted on Broadway in 1998, it bowled over the critics and swept nearly all the big honors at that year’s Tony Awards.

Now a tiny Jefferson Park storefront theater is taking on the play under the direction of acclaimed veteran Sheldon Patinkin. Our Dueling Critics Jonathan Abarbanel and Kelly Kleiman tell us whether this production lives up to the name.
