The Hearty Boys, partners Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh, will host a “Chick-Fil-Gay Appreciation Day” August 1 at their restaurant Hearty. They’ll serve Chik-fil-A-style sandwiches: fried chicken breast on toasted buttered buns with pickles only, plus and a side of fries for $10. “100 percent of the proceeds will go to Equality Illinois for marriage equality.”
