The Egyptian government has declared a state of emergency as dozens of people were killed on Wednesday. Security forces moved in to clear out supporters of former president Mohammed Morsi who had been camped out in Cairo since last month. Clashes also occurred in cities throughout Egypt and a curfew has been imposed in 11 provinces. Cherif Bassiouni, professor emeritus of law at DePaul University, gives us an update on the situation.
