CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say eight people have been injured in a drive-by shooting on the city’s Southwest Side.
Police say all of the victims are hospitalized in stable condition following the shooting about 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood.
Police say the victims include two 17-year-old boys, one shot in the buttocks and the other shot in a hand, a 22-year-old man shot in the ankle and a 23-year-old man shot in the back.
Also, a 29-year-old man was shot in the hip and a 30-year-old man, a 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man each were shot in a leg.
Quentin Robeson, who drove one of the injured to a hospital, tells WBBM that 30 and 50 people had gathered, listening to music and drinking, when the shooting occurred.
