Friday marks the 70th anniversary of the day Elvis got his first guitar on his 11th birthday. Tonight, as they’ve been doing for the past decade and a half, Elvis tribute artists will converge on The Original Mother’s, the bar and music venue on Division Street, for Elvis Fest, a night of white leather jumpsuits, macrame belts, and a whole lot of rock and roll. This morning, we’re joined by Jerry Dzwonkeiwicz also known as “JD Elvis,” a professional Elvis tribute artist for the past 13 years, who’s here to play some of his favorite Elvis tunes for us and talk about the King’s legacy.
