Films, especially outside of the major studio system, are usually funded and through a global patchwork of investors and financiers. The European Union wants to change that and create a single entity for film production and distribution called, the ‘Digital Single Market’ strategy (DSM).

British film producer Rebecca O’Brien joins our film contributor Milos Stehlik about why she thinks DSM would stifle artistic creativity and autonomy in favor of large corporate distributors.
