FAA wrapped up noise pollution meetings about O'Hare expansion

The FAA just wrapped up four meetings this week where area residents weighed in on the noise and air pollution related to the expansion of O’Hare Airport. A lot of the debate circles around the elimination of two diagonal runways, the first of which closes in about a week. Our guest says closing them down is necessary to modernize the airport, but anti-noise activists have been loud in their opposition. Ginger Evans, the recently-appointed commissioner of Chicago’s Department of Aviation, joins us to recap the meetings. (Flickr/Mark Brennan)
