The family of a young man fatally shot by Chicago Police is suing the city and the officers involved. Eighteen-year-old Aaron Harrison was shot and killed last week while running from the cops. The police say initial investigations show Harrison pointed a gun at police and that officers acted properly. But James Montgomery Jr., who is the attorney for Harrison’s family disagrees.

MONTGOMERY: This is a classic police cover up and an unjustifiable and unjustified homicide. The police brass and the office of professional standards have rushed to judgment in the police killing of yet another young African-American male.

Montgomery says there are at least two street cameras that will show Harrison was unarmed when he was shot.
The Chicago Police Department says the incident is still under investigation.
