

Federal lawsuits filed to block assault weapons ban
The Illinois State Rifle Association has filed a suit in federal court in hopes of striking down the state’s newly passed weapons ban.
It’s not likely to be the last federal lawsuit about the law, which went into effect earlier this month. Lawsuits have also been filed in state court.
