The Field Museum is working on a new approach to curating its collections, and it’s beginning the experiment with a collection of 10,000 items from the Philippines. The idea is to co-curate with the local community Filipino in Chicago in what anthropologist John Terrell calls “global heritage management.” He’ll tell us what’s involved.
