The Dept. of Veterans Affairs says it’s committed to end homelessness for vets by 2015. That’s a big goal as the Dept. estimates that there are almost 50,000 homeless veterans. There are many factors that contribute to these numbers, but one possible cause is that soldiers returning home don’t have the financial literacy to save enough money to get ahead.
