The Fourth of July is just a day away and Chicagoans are busy preparing for the neighborhood fireworks displays. We might love watching 4th of July fireworks but many pets don’t. And if you have a dog, cat, or even rabbit who has noise phobia, you know this well already, with our recent thunderstorms. WBEZ contributor and pet guardian Louisa Chu joins us, along with her dog Kiba, to offer advice. Most fireworks are illegal in Illinois, but that doesn’t stop people from getting them. Bruce Zoldan is the President and CEO of Phantom Fireworks, a nationwide provider of fireworks and he joins us to discuss the fireworks business.
