A new food incubator is scheduled to open next year on the city’s West Side. It’s expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the Garfield Park neighborhood. The 30-million dollar facility called the Hatchery will have more than 50 kitchen spaces for small businesses to use. The goal is for the businesses to grow and move on to their own facilities. The city estimates the project will generate 900 jobs over five years while bringing money to the surrounding neighborhood.
