Former Mayor Richard M. Daley has left a Chicago hospital after more than a week of tests to determine why he was feeling ill and disoriented during a business trip.

Northwestern Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Sheila Galloro says Daley left the hospital around noon Saturday. He was accompanied by family but walked without assistance.

Galloro said she could not release any details on his health condition.

A spokeswoman for the mayor, Jackie Heard, said there might be updates from the family later this weekend.

The 71-year-old Daley was taken by ambulance to the hospital’s intensive care unit on Jan. 31 upon returning from a conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.

He had been complaining of feeling ill during the conference and was met by an ambulance after flying back to Chicago.
