Chicago rising stars Friko perform live at WBEZ
Fresh off a monster tour, the trio talks songwriting and Chicago’s music scene.
With a South by Southwest debut under their belt and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in their future, local indie trio Friko are blowing up. Frontman Niko Kapetan is bringing soul to indie rock and says the Beatles and Motown are a big inspiration.
The band joins Reset in the WBEZ’s performance studio to play a set and chat about putting a song together, their friends in the scene and plans for the future.
