The American College of Physicians said Monday that annual pelvic exams are no longer required for women who aren’t pregnant and show clear signs of health. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, however, recommends that women still get the regular exam. Pelvic exams are just the latest medical procedure that are under scrutiny. Earlier this year a study cast doubts on the effectiveness of regular mammograms for women.
