Marc Gold was one of our first guests for our Global Activism series. For over a quarter-century through his organization, 100 Friends, Gold has delivered humanitarian aid in the form of food, medicine and other supplies to some of the most poverty-stricken places on Earth. The idea for 100 Friends began in India when Gold encountered a Tibetan woman with debilitating ear infections. He took her to the doctor and discovered by spending only one dollar on antibiotics and 30 dollars on a hearing aid, her life was transformed. Gold then sought out 100 of his closest friends to help. Today, he’ll update us on his goal to raise over one million dollars to help the needy, a few dollars at a time. (Photo: Facebook/100 Friends)
