Operation Walk Chicago is a volunteer group of orthopedic doctors dedicated to offering medical treatment to impoverished people around the world. They say there are less than 200 trained orthopedic surgeons in Nepal, a country of more than 30 million people. As supplies and aid flow into the earthquake devastated country, Operation Walk is partnering with Nepal Orthopedic Hospital in Kathmandu. Dr. Ravi Bashyal is a Nepalese-American orthopedic surgeon and volunteer with Operation Walk Chicago. He’ll tell us how his group plans to aid the hospital and doctors in Nepal.
