Pakistani-American and Winnetka, Illinois teen Sonia Shah started the Kulsoom Foundation for Girls to build a school for girls in Pakistan.

Sonia wanted girls to have a future like her mother, Iram, provided. But before the school was finished, she tragically died in a 2012 auto accident. Sonia was 18 years old. Since then, Iram carries on her daughter’s legacy through the Sonia Shah Organization

For our Global Activism segment, Iram will update us on the school and her new missions to help underprivileged girls in Chicago afford an education and to encourage Corporate Social Good and Responsibility.
