A native of Kofele, Ethiopia, Lily Yoseph, decided to give back to her home after making her way to the U.S. Her goal: educate young women and girls.

Yoseph founded “Tangible Hope” as a means of “empowering and protecting young girls and women to break the cycle of poverty and create a thriving community…through education, sustainable development, basic medical care and nutrition.”

For our Global Activism segment, we talk with Yoseph about her work, which she says had an “immediate and life-changing impact, not just for the girls, but for their families as well.” Her work is the subject of the short documentary, It’s Time.
