In recent years, many American broadcast networks have gradually reduced their focus on international reporting. Into that void of have stepped several foreign-owned English-language news networks, most notably Qatar’s Al-Jazeera but including up-and-comers like RT of Russia, Iran’s Press TV and CCTV from China as well.
