The flamenco tradition from southern Spain dates back to the mid-18th century but artists continue to build on its foundation today.

For Global Notes, the Clinard Dance’s Flamenco Quartet Project joins us with a performance. The ensemble seeks out new approaches to flamenco without forgetting its rich past. The quartet’s talents include composers, arrangers, improvisers and choreographers.
