Legislators in Russia are considering music quotas for Russian FM stations. The quotas would require that only 25 percent of all music played on the stations could contain non-Russian lyrics. It’s not the first time Russia’s considered limitations on Western music. And Russia is not the only country to contemplate protections for its culture.
