Groups Claim Illinois Businesses Are Taking Advantage of Temp Workers

Labor advocacy groups claim some Illinois businesses are taking advantage of temporary workers. 

A report released Thursday by the National Staffing Workers Alliance and National Economic and Social Rights Initiative found major companies are replacing permanent jobs with temp positions. It also found 47 percent of temps were retaliated against by employers after filing complaints or trying to improve working conditions.
