Many experts declare Saudi Arabia and Israel as the regional winners from President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu forcefully opposed the deal, as did Gulf state rulers, led by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Saudi critics believe the kingdom plays a hurtful role on issues, such as peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians, and its current proxy war against Iran in Yemen.
