Chicago saw a slight bump in home prices as compared to this time last year, but that increase was lower than most other major cities. Crain’s Chicago Business housing reporter Dennis Rodkin explains why Chicago is still lagging behind some cities for higher home prices. And, he has an update on an Old Town home with a well-known architectural history-the Netsch house built by Walter Netsch, husband of the late Illinois politician Dawn Clark Netsch. After Sen. Netsch’s death in 2013, sale of the home had some worried a gut rehab was ahead but the new owners say that want to keep the integrity of the design.(Flickr/aag_photos)
